Reviews
Good and reasonable price food when your craving Chinese.
Located right at the intersection of Hwy 228 and Hwy 20 in Sweet Home, Swan is currently the only Chinese food establishment left in Sweet Home. However, don't let that bother you too much because even if there was other places to choose from, you probably would want to go here anyways. With a decent sized parking lot, there is always plenty of parking to be had. Once inside, you will find plenty of room for a dinner for two or a party of 20. There are plenty of booths and tables that you can make yourself comfortable at. The menu is extensive and has all of the typical Chinese food fare. One particular favorite of ours is the Lo Mein style noodle, and we get the house special variety which has all different types of protein (chicken, beef, shrimp, pork). The noodles themselves are delicious. Typically when you think of Chinese food, you think of delicate noodles etc. Not these bad boys, almost a thick spaghetti type noodle, which holds up really well to the proteins available and any of your favorite sauces. I am also a big fan of their Mongolian Beef. Cooked with green and white onions, their Mongolian Beef is one of the better that I have had here in the Willamette Valley. Cooked will but not killed, and not too overly drenched in sauce, this is a great option. Finally there is also one item that I would be remiss in not mentioning. That is their War Wonton Soup. Delicious, delicate, packed full of all the things you would expect in a soup like this, and just down right delicious. If you ever find yourself in Sweet Home and just can't make it any further without some Chinese food in your belly, then look no further.
Really tasty and authentic. I had #8 Broccoli Beef with Horn& Sour Soup, Fried Rice and Fried Shrimp. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Sweet Home.
Excellent food. Language barrier possible. I have posted the menu of today online here. Worth the trip to eat in or to go. Yup oh get more it seems, if you stay and eat. I think you will you will like it. It's not much on decor and it's kind of dated but you're not eating the wallpaper anyway. I recommend you try the Mar Far and the Egg flower soup the pork chow mein and the pork fried rice for good who actually knows what goes into egg foo young anyway Cantonese dinner is little on the boring side Mandarin dinner quite spicy. The Kung Pao chicken is very nice as well as the Kung Pao shrimp pretty large shrimp try it out you might like it. If you do get your food to go don't forget the hot mustard and the red chili paste. Eat with chopsticks for the real feel.
Amazing food and even with huge orders there is never more than a 20 minute pick up time.
